Root canal treatment is a technique of saving an infected tooth, that otherwise might have to be pulled out. At our clinics we pefer to complete a RCT in a single visit, rather than over multiple visits. This also ensures minimum discomfort to the patient. • Discomfort may vary from person to person and depending on the condition of the tooth • Over the counter pain-killers may be required in some cases • In most cases, antibiotics are not required • Certain dietary restrictions, may apply in some cases • Once RCT is over, it is essential that a crown (or alternative) be placed on the tooth • Some cases may require a post to be placed, before a crown can be fabricated • It is essential that the RCT be completed in time, partial or incomplete RCTs are bound to fail.
